Aerodance By Uitm Students To Raise Funds For National Kidney Foundation

The final year Public Relations students of UiTM Shah Alam are organizing an AeroDance programme on 23rd May 2015, Saturday at Laman Budaya Seksyen 2, Shah Alam from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m with the theme AeroDance #Stayfir: 10,000 steps, 200 calories (women) or 2500 calories (men). During the event, there will be a two hour non-stop dance facilitated by Celebrity Fitness.


The main objective for this programme is to raise RM100,000 to purchase a Reverse Osmosis Water system for National Kidney Foundation’s new dialysis care centre. At the same time it will promote healthy living and create awareness of staying fit through exercising and diet that is walking 10,000 steps and consuming 2,000 calories for women or 2,500 calories for men daily.


This fundraising programme also has two other activities; first, sale of exclusive custom-made wristbands at RM 5 each; and second, a music performance by Noh Salleh at the ‘Malam Kita’ event of 7th May 2015 which held at the Teh Tarik Place Seksyen 7, Shah Alam at 9:00 p.m.

AeroDance is the capstone project for the final year Public Relations students (MC242S5A) from the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies of UiTM Shah Alam under the supervision of Professor Dr. Kiranjit Kaur. It is done in collaboration with the National Kidney Foundation.
